CHRIS HAYS, MS, CSCS

Chris brings a decade of experience in collegiate and professional sports, having held leadership roles at Jacksonville, Drexel, and Coppin State, as well as assistant positions with Louisville, George Washington, and the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. Originally from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, he considers Baltimore a second home after spending four years at Coppin State from 2018 to 2022.

Before stepping into the team sports arena, Chris gained hands-on experience through multiple internships at private training facilities across the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C. regions. He earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University and an M.S. in Strength & Conditioning from George Washington University. During his time at Slippery Rock, he was a walk-on member of the NCAA Division II men’s basketball team from 2012 to 2015.

Though his primary focus has been on men’s and women’s basketball, Chris has worked extensively across nearly all major sports. Throughout his career, he’s benefited from mentorship under some of the industry’s most respected professionals, including Matthew Johnson, Teena Murray, and Brian Stoneberg, among others.

Chris’ passion for athletic performance began in middle school after a back injury sidelined him from basketball. That setback led him to work closely with a local strength coach through his high school years, sparking his long-term dedication to sports performance and injury prevention.
